Junior Sustainability Consultant

Location: Paris, France (Client On-site)
Contract Type: Contractor

About the Role:
Emerald International Solutions is seeking a Junior Sustainability Consultant to support our growing portfolio of projects in sustainability consulting. This role is ideal for professionals with a passion for sustainable development, looking to apply their knowledge in real-world projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in sustainability strategy development, site audits, and certification processes (LEED, BREEAM).
  • Conduct carbon footprint analysis, energy efficiency reviews, and lifecycle assessments.
  • Support ESG reporting, sustainability compliance, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Engage with project stakeholders, supply chains, and regulatory bodies to ensure sustainability goals are met.
  • Contribute to research on emerging sustainability trends and innovative solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks such as LEED, BREEAM, or ISO 14001.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is a plus.

Sustainability Consultant (Mid-Level)

Location: Marseille, France (Client On-site)
Contract Type: Contractor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sustainability assessments and provide technical guidance on projects.
  • Support clients in achieving BREEAM, LEED, and WELL certifications.
  • Develop and implement net-zero action plans and circular economy strategies.
  • Conduct site visits to assess environmental compliance and sustainability best practices.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate clients on sustainability trends.
  • Engage with supply chains to ensure compliance with sustainability requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

  • Oversee certification processes for BREEAM, LEED, and WELL projects.
  • Conduct advanced sustainability assessments, including carbon footprint reduction strategies and net-zero planning.
  • Provide technical leadership on energy modeling, life cycle assessments, and ESG reporting.
  • Mentor and guide junior consultants, sharing best practices and expertise.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in sustainability consulting.
  • Recognized qualifications in LEED AP BD+C, BREEAM AP, or similar.
  • Extensive experience with ESG frameworks, carbon accounting, and environmental impact assessments.

Education Specialist (Sustanaibility) 

Location: Dublin, Ireland (also European countries)
Contract Type: Contractor

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Development & Content Creation

  • Design and develop sustainability education programs, workshops, and learning modules for academic institutions, business schools, and corporate clients.
  • Create interactive learning materials, case studies, and digital content that align with global sustainability challenges and best practices.
  • Tailor training programs to meet the needs of various sectors, integrating ESG, circular economy, and climate resilience principles.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of educational content.

2. Training & Facilitation

  • Deliver engaging training sessions for students, executives, and corporate teams on sustainability topics.
  • Lead workshops, seminars, and executive education programs at business schools and industry conferences.
  • Use innovative teaching methodologies, including case studies, gamification, and interactive discussions.
  • Adapt training delivery for in-person, virtual, and hybrid learning environments.

3. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Work closely with universities, research institutions, and corporate clients to align education programs with their sustainability goals.
  • Foster partnerships with business schools, NGOs, and policymakers to expand sustainability education outreach.
  • Engage with students, professionals, and corporate teams to inspire action and continuous learning in sustainability.

4. Impact Assessment & Continuous Improvement

  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, performance metrics, and impact assessments.
  • Stay up to date with emerging sustainability trends, policies, and educational innovations to enhance program offerings.
  • Provide recommendations for improving training delivery and integrating new sustainability challenges into the curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Education, Business, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainability education, training, or curriculum development.
  • Strong background in facilitating workshops, delivering corporate training, and academic teaching.
  • Familiarity with ESG, SDGs, Circular Economy, Climate Action, and Sustainable Business Strategies.
  • Ability to engage diverse audiences, from students to executives, using interactive teaching methods.
  • Proficiency in developing learning materials, online courses, and workshop content.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms, virtual training tools, and digital content creation is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English is required; fluency in French or Spanish is an advantage.
